You can never have enough mince pies in the house! We have a large tin in the kitchen cupboard which is full of dents and seemingly always empty regardless of how many times you fill it up!
Our mincemeat recipe includes lots of local apples grated and added to raisins, sultanas, currants and peel along with brown sugar and masses of lemon and orange zest. Purposely not too sweet.
